The portraits of people on this site are a mixture of family portraits and corporate portraits. They have been commissioned to commemorate a special occasion, for a uniquely personal gift or just for fun. I aim to create portraits of people that capture their unique characters and personalities. Emotions are etched into a face over time and I love to bring out the mischievous, fun side of each person. The art of people drawing is to study their faces as they are talking, make them laugh and to take LOTS of photos to catch their many and varied expressions. Send me your favourite pictures or for arrange for a photoshoot. Prices are based on the time required to create and perfect a portrait but can be suited to any budget, size, shape and style. Portrait gift vouchers are available. A beautiful portrait of a loved one is a unique and special gift, a treasure, an heirloom.

I use artists' quality pastels on high quality acid free pastel paper which can be cut to any size. The price table indicates a few standard sizes so please contact me to discuss other shapes and sizes. Finished pastel portraits need to be protected behind glass with a spacer between the mount and the portrait. I either post them unframed or can arrange for a full framing service.

People Portraits in Acrylic Paints

I use only artists' quality paints on high quality acid free watercolour paper, stretched box canvases or canvas panels. Finished watercolour paintings are traditionally framed with a mount behind glass. Acrylics can be framed glazed or unglazed, usually without a mount. Box canvases can be hung straight on the wall and cost more initially, depending on the size, but you save on framing. The price table indicates a few standard sizes so please contact me for other shapes, sizes and costs you may prefer. I post finished portraits for you to frame or can arrange for a full framing service.

I only use artists' quality oil paints on high quality linen or cotton stretched box canvases or canvas panels. These come in many different sizes and shapes - the price table indicates a few standard sizes so please contact me to discuss other shapes and sizes. Traditionally oil paintings are framed unglazed without a mount although you can frame them as you like. I can send finished portraits for you to frame or arrange for a full framing service.
