Welcome to my website. As a professional artist and trained tutor I love to teach art to beginners and those with more advanced skills of all ages. I hold morning, afternoon and all-day workshops and classes in venues around Sussex. My aim is to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere in which to learn new skills, tricks and tips, try things out, get creative and meet new people. Home-made cake is often on offer too!

This website gives details of the different short-courses and art workshops currently available. They include six-week courses in basic drawing skills, techniques in various mediums and a comprehensive portraiture course; day workshops include painting landscapes, still-life, animals, flowers and abstracts in watercolour paints, acrylics, soft pastels or mixed media. Why not try out a workshop (your first one is half price) and if you like the class, talk to me about how you would like to progress or fill out the form on the CONTACT KATE page stating your area of interest.

I have been painting people portraits, family portraits and portraits of pets for a number of years, working from my studio in Worthing, West Sussex, UK. I take on all sorts of painting commissions from family paintings, pet portraits, abstract paintings, favourite scenes and property through my portraits website. My work is mostly highly detailed and photo-realistic but I can adapt to any style of painting and love a challenge! My favourite medium is acrylic paint and soft pastel but I also work in watercolour, graphite, coloured pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, collage and mixed media.
